The Best Investment Jeans: my favourite styles, timeless and versatile.
Hi lovelies! Let’s talk jeans today! As denim is one of the timeless fabrics since their birth, we all love them – much or less – and we certainly own many. However, with jeans, sometimes is very hard to find the perfect fit, ideal thickness and timeless style. But this is an era where every style is available and basically no pair of jeans is out of style. The most important thing to me, is to find what fits your body type and is comfortable for your daily life. In fact I don’t believe every pair of jeans is comfy, and neither they all fit every occasion and style. A pair of denim can do this only if it suits our figure perfectly and matches with the rest of our wardrobe.
However, I do think that some styles are more versatile than others, and that some type of jeans are more likely to fit almost everybody perfectly. This may require to invest a little bit more money than expected. I do have some pair that I purchased for very cheap prices and are still my favourite. But being honest, they also have fated and changed shape a little. And some others have gone a long time ago cause they weren’t fitting anymore or they broke in embarrassing places. Don’t get upset if that ever happen to you, it’s the quality of the fabric, not your butt!
Therefore, I have put together some of my favourite brands and styles, which I think are timeless, made in very good quality materials and they should fit well most of you. In saying this, I want to remember you that if the fit is not perfect you must fix it or leave it. And fixing it is an option only if it’s valuable to do it.
STRAIGHT LEG
Straight legs are the easiest to style and they fit the most of us. Because they follow the straight line from our hips, no matter what’s our size, they usually slim our figure a little. And because we can wear anything with them – from super tight to oversized, from flats to high heels, long line or short jackets – it’s easy to style them within our wardrobe favourite.
SKINNY
They’re probably not the biggest trend of the moment, but skinny jeans are always with me. I just love flat boots and they are the most beautiful match for them. They’re also perfect with any kind of oversized top, if your flaws are waist line and hips, you just cover up and slim your legs with these style. In my wardrobe there’s always a black thin pair – and probably most worn – a white thick one and a distressed classic medium-dark blue.
SLIM
This is maybe the easiest fit, suitable for the most of us. They can be your ‘ready to go’ and they’re always a trend. They’re also the most comfy and versatile. I wear them when I’m in the easy mood, when I can’t be bothered to put much effort in creating my outfit.
ANKLE
If can say, the rolled up hems are not a thing anymore, so if you like ankles out, go for this style. The look becomes neat and ankles are one of the sexiest part to show if you’re happy with yours. I also think these jeans suit every pair of shoes you can think of. And I love them with flats!
FANCY & UNIQUE
If you find a very particular pair, and its shape and style fits your body, I’d always suggest to go for it. They’re the most expensive, but they’ll always be a trend. Most important, when you have a piece like these, you can wear it with all your basics and still create a unique outfit. You know I’m always up for statements!
